After enjoying this year’s fabulous summer weather I am still feeling buoyant and ready to laugh in the face of the on-coming winter. I have enjoyed sketching outside so much that I want to continue as long as I can.
However despite these sunny Autumn days the weather can be deceptive and often a sharp cold wind starts up and whips around my knees. Mindful that I could be in danger of turning into an ice lolly if I spend too long fussing over a potential masterpiece, I hatch a plan. I take out my new cube knitting needles and get clicking.
My hands are the worse to be affected by the cold, the rest of me stays nice and toasty warm with my new snug hat and sturdy shoes, I decide I need some fingerless gloves. I have a single ball of Noro yarn and some new cubed needles to try out – they are circular as that is the type I prefer to use even though the gloves are knitted flat with a seam.
I will wear them in the park with pride next week and see if they keep my pencil-holding fingers warm.
cheers and until next time KN.
